“You don’t have to be great to start, but you do have to start to be great.”
THE WISE FARMER AND THE LAW OF ACTION
Once upon a time, there was a farmer who intuitively knew how to apply the Law of Action. His land was small, but he grew the lushest grass, corn, veggies, and fruits. Every harvest fed not only his family but all around him as well. Bedazzled, the other farmers tried to find out his secret.
They went over to him and asked. Calmly, he explained: “I plant a seed and carefully observe it. If it does not grow, I take action by adapting my strategy. I don’t wait if I see it is going nowhere; I act. Furthermore, I learn from my mistakes. I don’t shy away from admitting I did something wrong, allowing me to improve. Moreover, I don’t fear failure. My success is to keep trying despite any thoughts of being unable to make it. Eventually, I grew healthy crops in all areas of life.”
This story tells us we can have as many thoughts and ideas as we want. But we need to take action to make something out of them. All our potential gifts and talents are worth nothing if we don’t act.
WITH THE RIGHT TOOL, TAKING ACTION CAN BE EASY
Usually, taking action takes work. Unfortunately, our insecurities (1 in our birth numbers) and self-doubts (3 in our birth numbers) keep us inactive. Our body and mind generally fear change and the unknown. Most of us only get out of our comfort zone when emotional, physical, or mental ailments arise. Then, the circumstances force us to change. But it does not need to get that far. After all, we shape our whole life by action. We are active contributors to our well-being.
There might be initial discomfort, fear, insecurity, and self-doubt. However, as we reap what we sow, the fruits we harvest will be much more when we take action. Inevitably, voices in our heads tell us we can’t do it. A lot of these voices are old conditioning: “You cannot sing,” “You are not a good painter,” “Creativity is not in our family,” and “You will anyway fail.” By taking the leap of faith, we can prove ourselves different. The path will shape along the way, but we need to take step after step and keep exploring our deepest essence.
